This Prosper Card MasterCard Shopping Program Privacy Notice is a supplement to the Prosper Privacy Policy & Federal Privacy Notice and applies to those Prosper Card members who are participating in the Prosper Card MasterCard Shopping Program (the “Program”). If there is a conflict between the Prosper Card MasterCard Shopping Program Privacy Notice and the Prosper Privacy Policy & Federal Privacy Notice, the Prosper Card MasterCard Shopping Program Privacy Notice will govern the use of transaction data.

What types of information do we collect and how do we collect it?

This notice covers transaction data. Prosper Marketplace, Inc. or its wholly owned subsidiary, Prosper Funding LLC (together, “Prosper”, “we,” “us” or “our”) and its third-party service providers receive transaction data from your payment card network. Transaction data is collected, used, and shared in the course of administering the Program.

Transaction data may include, but is not limited to, the following data elements: merchant name and ID, authorization amount, transaction amount, time transaction was processed, your linked credit card number, and other transaction details.

How do we use transaction data?

Prosper and Prosper’s service providers use transaction data in the following ways:

• Process your transaction, including confirming a qualifying purchase or return to match transactions to confirm whether you qualify for an offer under the Program;
• Share transaction data with a participating merchant for the merchant to confirm that a specific transaction occurred under the Program. For example, we may share the date and amount of your purchase and your enrolled card number so the merchant can verify your purchase with its records if there is a missing or disputed transaction;
• Provide participating merchants aggregated and anonymized information relating specifically to enrolled card activity to allow participating merchants to assess the results of their campaign within the Program;
• Create a record of the transaction data for purposes of displaying transaction history on your account and thereafter maintain and use data in connection with operating the Program;
• Conduct analysis for the operation, evaluation, management, improvement and optimization of the Program;
• Support internal business operations, including assessing and managing risk and meeting legal and regulatory requirements
• To use past purchases at participating or similar merchants on any enrolled cards to target offers that may be of interest to you; and
• Provide information in order to respond to a request from a government authority or a payment organization involved in a transaction with you or a participating merchant.

How do we share transaction data?

We may share transaction data as necessary to operate the Program, such as sharing with our service provider, applicable payment card networks, and participating merchants. We may share transaction data with a participating merchant for the merchant to confirm that a specific transaction occurred under the Program. For example, we may share the date and amount of your purchase and your enrolled card number so the merchant can verify your purchase with its records if there is a missing or disputed transaction.

If you chose to participate in the Program and no longer wish to do so, simply no longer activate offers. After a period of time, you will be deemed inactive in the Program.

If you wish to exit the Program immediately, you must also close your Prosper Card account. You may close your Prosper Card account by calling 1-800-903-4697.
