How can I see a list of all of my loans?

Go to "My Account > Lending" and click the "Search loans" link. You can search for individual loans by payment status (be it current or paid in full, on-time or past due), credit grade, debt-to-income ratio, and loan origination date.

If you're not seeing all of your loans listed when you click "Search loans", note that the default search result is one month's worth of loans. To view older loans, just change the first date selector next to "Origination dates".

How do I receive my monthly payments?

Repayment of principal and interest are paid by the borrower on a monthly basis and are deposited directly into your Prosper cash balance. It is common practice for lenders to quickly re-bid this money into new loans in order to maximize returns.

How is interest accrued?

All Prosper loans are 3 year fully amortized loans. As such, interest accrues on each loan's principal balance on a daily basis.

To calculate the interest accrued on any given loan, use the following equation:

Daily interest accrual = (Interest rate / 365) x principal balance

Interest accrues every day until the borrower makes another payment. Depending on the amount of that payment, the amount of accrued interest is paid first, and the remainder of the payment amount goes to paying down the principal balance of the loan.

How can I see the payment history for one particular loan?

Go to "My Account > Lending" and click the "Search loans" link.

In the search results, click on the ID or title of a loan to view the payment history and the promissory note (the borrower's official agreement to pay their loan back in a specified time). Learn more about borrower payments.

Can I sell my loans to others?

Not yet. We hope to allow lenders to sell their already-owned loans to other lenders in the future.
