4. Make the loan
and get paid

Win the listing and fund the loan

If you are a winning bidder when the listing ends, funds will be transferred from your account to the borrower's account after Prosper conducts a final identity verification. Once funded, a three-year loan with monthly payments is originated.

Receive monthly payments

Every month, Prosper will make an automatic monthly payment withdrawal from the borrower's bank account, and divide the payment among participating lenders.

Your share of the borrower's monthly payment will be deposited into your Prosper account. At that time, you can lend it out again or withdraw it to your bank account.
