Fund your account for bidding

Before you can begin bidding on loan listings, you must have funds available in your Prosper account.

It's easy to put a bank account on file and transfer money to Prosper—we use the same method of electronic funds transfer that your employer uses to direct deposit your paycheck.

Once you start a transfer, funds will be available in your cash balance for bidding within two to four business days.

Note: Although we refer to you and other individuals as "lenders", the loans are being made by Prosper and then sold to you, making you a loan purchaser. The term "lender" is used through the site for the sake of simplicity.
