Publishing content on Prosper

While Prosper allows members to publish personal information on its web site, Prosper does not allow the use of profanity or language that is racist, hateful, sexual or obscene in nature. This policy extends to text and images within group pages, listing pages, member pages, discussion and chat boards and all other areas of the site that another member may view.

Prosper does not allow the publishing of content which is not for the purpose of borrowing, bidding on listings, lending or managing a group on Prosper. Content published purely for advertising or promotional purposes will be promptly removed, and your account will be suspended. Repeated occurrences may result in termination of your registration with Prosper.

Prosper does not allow members to publish HTML, script, or other code which blocks, obscures, overwrites or modifies any Prosper-generated content or pages. Members using the Prosper site may only modify or add content in those areas specifically designated for the member's use. All other site locations or components of Prosper pages are strictly for Prosper use.

The material displayed on group pages, listing pages and member pages may not impersonate any other person's image, description, trademarks, patents or copyrighted materials.

The material displayed on group pages, listing pages and member pages must not infringe on any third party's trademarks, patents or copyrighted materials, including materials appearing on other Prosper members' group, listing or member pages.

Prosper members who want to protect content they post on Prosper can place a © copyright mark on their creative content to tell the world that they claim copyright protection for the content and that it cannot be reproduced without the member's permission. However, a member's creative content can still be copyright-protected even if no © appears after the material, so the safest route is not to copy or use another's content without obtaining their permission in advance.

Prosper reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to edit or remove any content posted on the Prosper website at any time, for any reason or for no reason, without notice or prior warning to the person who posted the content or to any other person. Prosper's Terms of Use also give Prosper the right to suspend or terminate any Prosper member's registration, access and use of the Prosper website at any time, with or without cause, in Prosper's sole and absolute discretion and without notice.
