Fake Accounts, Friends, and Endorsements


Creating a fake Prosper member account which is not intended for a real person is not allowed under any circumstances. Furthermore, designating fake member accounts as your Prosper friends, and having them write an endorsement for your listing (if you are a borrower), is prohibited and will result in termination of your registration with Prosper.

If you suspect that a member has created fake accounts for the purpose of gaining more Prosper friends, you can use the "Report this profile" link on their member page to report the member to customer support.

If you are in violation of this policy, your listing will be withdrawn by Prosper, and your account will be suspended.
