Instant Account Verification

What is instant account verification?

Before you can use your external bank account on Prosper, you are required to verify that account. For members who are adding their first bank account, they may be eligible for instant account verification, which is much faster than deposit and withdrawal verification.

Instant account verification involves the following steps:

Enter bank account details
Enter the bank name, account number, and routing number of your account. Based on the routing number, Prosper will decide if your account is eligible for instant verification.
Sign in to your online banking account
If your bank provides online banking, chances are that you will be able to verify your account instantly online. Just enter the username and password (or whatever combination of credentials is required) that you use to sign on to your online banking account.
Account verified!
If the credentials you provided match those on your online bank account, your account will be verified instantly.

If your bank is not eligible for instant verification, you can still verify your bank account through deposit and withdrawal verification, in which a small deposit and withdrawal are made to your bank account.
