All members of this group are checked against the alumni directory for validation that they are an alumnus (or current cadet) of one of the service academies. The military service and reputation for integrity built by these elite institutions gives you an additional datapoint in determining the credit worthiness of the loan.

Information for Prospective Member Lenders
This is a great opportunity for grads to help grads. Anytime a new loan is requested by a fellow alumnus, you will get an e-mail notifying you of your chance to help. In addition, Big Tex (the group leader) has been lending on Prosper for four years and can help you learn from some of his early mistakes.

Information for Prospective Member Borrowers
Several reasons why you should consider this group:
1. We have built a group of alumni lenders that will bid and can fully fund every graduate loan available.
2. Our closed loans are some of the larger loans that can be made on Prosper and closed at a rate lower than average.
3. Big Tex (the group leader) has been lending on Prosper for four years and can help guide you in your funding request.

You are eligilbe for group membership if you attended or currently attend one of the US service academies. Current status as a military officer is not required.
