Sachin Adarkar

General Counsel

Mr. Adarkar has over 13 years of experience as a business attorney. He has represented public and private companies in a wide range of matters including stock offerings, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory examinations and venture capital financings.

Prior to joining Prosper, Mr. Adarkar served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of GreenPoint Mortgage Funding, which was then the mortgage lending arm of Capital One Financial Corporation and as Vice President and General Counsel of Valley Media, a music and video distributor. Mr. Adarkar also practiced for a number of years with the San Francisco law firm of Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin.

Mr. Adarkar earned a J.D. from UCLA in 1995, where he served as an Editor of the UCLA Law Review. He also holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A., cum laude, in English Literature from Georgetown University.
